Burning off garden refuse in areas not zoned rural shall not be undertaken within the City of Cockburn.
You can light a fire, such as a wood fire pit, heat beads, or wood fire pizza oven for cooking purposes ONLY but you must make sure the fire does not cause excessive smoke, irritation or annoyance to others.
All cooking with fires should be supervised and once your food is cooked the fire must be extinguished.
Do not use these appliances during Total Fire Ban periods or on days with a Fire Danger Rating of ‘High’ or above.
Gas BBQ's can be used at any time of the year.
